Remote administration of linux device

As administrator of a diverse set of linux kiosk devices (e.g. both x64 and arm),
Instead og managing the devices manually and on-site,
I need to make sure the device is configured correctly according to standards even though I am on a different location than the device, because i want to be able to use less time managing the systems, and thus be ready to scale.

Q1 2026 status on this issue:

A proof of concept that will decide the viability of using OpenGitOps standards for managing linux clients has been approved by the steering comitee in December 2025. Contact @ChatBotBerg if you are interrested in joining this effort.

All stories, epics and tasks related to this Poc will carry the OpenGitOps label.

Experimentation using the bootable containers technology, for this is furthermore marked with the bootc label.

New issues will be linked to this Epic accordingly as the PoC is progressing.
